Provide emotional and social support.
Listen and allow them to express themselves without judgment.
Talk to them about respite. Offer your time or encourage them to consider working with an agency that provides respite.
Check in on them, call, text, or arrange coffee/tea time at the caregiver's home.
Encourage self-care( emotional, physical, social, and spiritual).
Cook a meal for the caregiver and his/her family.
This can help caregivers stay healthy and from feeling burnout. It will keep caregivers feeling good about themselves and motivated in helping others.
Kindly,
Sandra
